New Home System
Friends,
Currently I am working on the design of my new home grid tied hybrid system. The system that I am working on designing and installing in my home will include solar panels, a wind turbine, a tankless water heater, and an energy management system.
It is amazing at all of the tax incentives and rebates available today from both Federal and State. For a list of rebates and incentives, please visit: http://www.dsireusa.org/index.cfm?EE=1&RE=1
Sincerely,
Dennis A. Kearn

This is an update on the Solar power system I will be installing in my home within a few days including the final cost after rebates and incentives:
Cost Breakdown
Installer Contract Cost $37,800 ($7.50/watt DC, $8.89/watt AC)
Pennsylvania Sunshine Solar Rebate Program ($11,340)
Federal Tax Credit/Tax Impact ($7,938)
Net Cost (year of installation) $18,522 ($3.68/watt DC, $4.35/watt AC)
$ 230 Alternative Energy Credit (SREC) for
15 years
($14,155)
Net Cost (all years) $4,367 ($0.87/watt DC, $1.03/watt AC)
System Description
Total System Size 5.040 kW DC Power (STC) / 4.253 kW AC Power (CEC)
Estimated Annual Production 6,502 kWh
PV Panel Description 24 x Kyocera Solar Inc Model: KD210GX-LPU
Inverters Area 1: Qty. 1 - Solectria Renewables LLC Model: PVI
5000 (240V) Area 2: [no inverter]
I will be expanding this system shortly after installation to include a solar water heater (300 liter capacity) and a wind turbine.
Sincerely,

DEP accepting applications for Green Energy fund
HARRISBURG — Gov. Edward G. Rendell announced the commonwealth will use up to $12 million in American Recovery and Reinvestment Act funding to create a new revolving loan fund to support energy-saving projects and develop clean, renewable energy resources that put Pennsylvanians to work.
Because applicants must provide matching funds, the initiative will attract about $18 million in private investments.
Applicants must be able to demonstrate: experience in lending for projects that include energy efficiency and renewable energy; the level of matching capital leveraged for the fund beyond the minimum requirement; and the readiness to begin offering loans.
The revolving loan fund will finance energy efficiency upgrades that will save at least 25 percent of the total energy consumption of an entire building or facility, and develop and install onsite energy technology that generates electricity from renewable resources, and create and retain jobs.
For a complete description of the program, visit http://www.recovery.pa.gov. Under the heading “Where is Your Money Going?” click on “Energy Independence.”
Applications must be submitted to the Department of Environmental Protection Grants Center —Green Energy Loan Fund, 15th Floor, Rachel Carson State Office Building, 400 Market St., P.O. Box 8776, Harrisburg, PA 17105-8776. E-mails and faxes will not be accepted. The application deadline is 4 p.m. on Jan. 6.
For more information, contact DEP’s Office of Energy and Technology Deployment at 717-783-8411.

I’m the sort of guy who passions to try bran-new stuff. Right now I’m constructing my own photovoltaic panels. I am making it all alone without the help of my staff. I am using the internet as the only path to acheive this. I discovered a very awesome website that explains how to make photovoltaic panels and wind generators. The internet site explains all the steps needed for solar panel construction.
I’m not sure bout how correct the data given there is. If some people over here who had experience with these things can have a look and give your feedback in the thread it would be great and I would extremely treasure it, cauze I extremely like solar panel construction.
Thanks for reading this. You people rock.
